Playing Games To Improve Memory And Concentration

A sudoku game.Playing games can help you boost your brain power.  Most people know that it is possible to raise brain power and concentration.  Here are some tips on how to raise brain power.

Playing games is a great way to not only have fun, relax and enjoy spending time with family and friends.  Playing games also helps you to improve concentration. There are plenty of games that fall into this category.  Many people have become addicted to a game called Sudoku.

With this type of puzzle you have to fill in the grid. Each line going down as well as across has to have the digits 1 through 9 used only once. Deductive reasoning is required for sudoku as there are many possibilities for the different squares, and it takes a great deal of concentration to determine which is the correct number to fill in.

There are plenty of board games too that get you to improve concentration. Board games are a great deal of fun, but they also offer your brain a good workout as you play them. The internet is full of places where you can play them. Some of the favorites are Memory and Scrabble that people can easily access online.

The internet also offers many websites for Sudoku, crosswords and word searches. If you are interested in improving your concentration skills then it is important that you make the time to do so. 30 minutes a day is sufficient to not only help you relax, but also to help your brain function better and your concentration improve.

You might want to work out your brain prior to starting your shift at your job, and when your family is sleeping, to improve concentration. This is a great way to prepare yourself for the day to come. You can also invite your friends over at times so that as you all work on your concentration skills you can get to enjoy each other’s company and build some great memories.

But this kind of social interaction is not necessary and many people find specific favorites that they enjoy engaging in on a daily basis. There are also different levels to these games that allow you a wider variety. You can start with the easier levels and your brain will still be exercised. When you are new to certain games it is especially true that the easier levels will also help you exercise your brain.

As you improve concentration, continue to challenge your brain by moving into more advanced levels of the game. You will find that working out your brain by participating in games has quite a few benefits. You will be surprised at how much it improves various aspects of your life. Moreover, you will discover that your recall abilities are getting better.

While “working out” your brain you might want to give it more potential by what you eat.  Eggs, fish, whole grains, nuts, yogurt, milk and cheese, dark chocolate, fruits, and vegetables are some foods that are said to improve memory and concentration.

There are also supplements.  A noteworthy one is Ambrotose, a supplement composed of completely plant sourced ingredients.  Ambrotose has been shown in several trials and studies, including human double-blind, placebo-controlled ones to significantly improve memory, psychological well-being, visual discrimination, mental reaction time, concentration and to enhance brainwave frequencies known to be associated with attention or alertness.

  • Over and over again, life expectancy studies related to diet, including by the World Health Organization (WHO), have concluded that Americans and Europeans would do better to eat more like third world peoples as the options provided by their additional wealth have most often lead to poor nutritional choices. This is the same basis for the USDA based their popular food pyramid in 1992. Researchers at Harvard have only suggested perhaps tweaking the food pyramid by replacing some dairy products and read meat with more fruits, vegetables, and fish while also emphasizing the importance of improving the ratio of “good” to “bad” cholesterol. Plus, exercise not only makes weight loss much easier, but also lowers blood glucose levels, decreases blood pressure, improved circulation, and increases one’s metabolism. Good regular sleep patterns are also just as important. Diets based on USDA recommendations include DASH, American Diabetic Assoc, Weight Watchers, and Jenny Craig.

  • When children understand how important “real food” is and where the natural ingredients of our food come from, they will increase the general population’s appreciation for preserving our natural environment and limiting toxins and polluting processes in our world. We may even trend back to the time when people stepped outside their homes to interact with family and neighbors in home and community gardens and block-party barbeques. Does anybody even remember how nice those days were?
